Makes sense, they're gonna pair down any talent without story lines or pushes through Summerslam, and as a result they dont need much of a writing staff or production side of things if its like a half dozen stories per brand total.

I'd suspect this is the "we offered anyone who wanted it their freedom" level of the cuts, and people who really wanted out (Slater, EC3, etc) took it, as did older vets like the OC who dont need to work during this nonsense

yeah idk if you can even furlough an "independent contractor". they have downside guarantees, not paying them is a breach of contract which should flat out break it.

 

I wonder if any of these (probably not wrestlers, but producers maybe) are furloughed vs. full on laid off.

the company has obv always been shitty and we all knew that but so much info of how shitty is a dripfeed over time, or happened at an age where we were too young to care, or stuff we write off as carnies doing carny things in a carny industry. but all of this so close together in a time where we are seeing and feeling the affects of big business being in conservative checkbooks makes it so much worse - idk if this company gets a cent from me ever again. taima for life.
