I actually don't mind 5 and think 7 would be a good record if the songs were 1/2 as long and Lars played real drums. I don't really know the rest that well... maybe I'd pick 2

edit: actually nevermind, I DO mind 5, lol. I'd still pick it if I had to, but I was thinking that was a different MH record.

I’m interested to see how many people have actually heard that Vanilla Ice album.

    Hard to Swallow?

I’ve heard it and I think I actually saw him live touring for that (mostly on a lark). A friend/former roommate loved him ironically-unironically and even had a framed “Cool As Ice” movie poster.

“Too Cold” might be the best self-cover ever.

1 and 4 for sure. 3, 5 and 9 are fighting for the final spot. I'll have to get back with my final answer.

I think it just isn't original or done that well. But I think he looks back and knows that it wasn't his finest hour.

3, 4, 9. My second favorite Death album ((Leprosy), one of the best if not THE best death metal album ever (Altars of Madness), and one of the best albums from probably the most consistently good death metal bands (War Master).

Deicide would take my 4th spot. I could never get into Obituary (those vocals are just not for me). Entombed isn't even my favorite Swe-death band, and that's not even my favorite album by them. Suffocation never clicked for me, but I'm definitely willing to revisit them. And Cannibal Corpse has some good stuff but I feel like every other band in this picture does what they do but better.

Good choices. I had to include Autopsy because they originated that low and slow death metal which birthed bands like Incantation and also I grew up near the Bay Area so the Death and Black and Experimental metal scenes there have a soft spot for me.

Also one of my favorite shows was Bolt Thrower with Autopsy, Benediction, and Noothgrush.

  16. 2 was their first right? I don't remember it being that bad, their later material can rot though.

7 if it was +30 mins shorter

Judas Priest's British Steel also turned 40 yesterday. And it was already their seventh album!

That Danzig covers record wouldn't be nearly as bad if it didn't sound like it was recorded using a Motorola Razr

I listened to it earlier today and really enjoyed it. The guest solos from Takafumi Matsubara (Gridlink), Phil Tougas (Chthe‘ilist), and Damian Herring (Horrendous) are a nice touch.

The Legacy, for sure. I kinda feel like they captured lightning in a bottle with that one, because nothing since that album has been as good. The stuff that followed was by no means bad, however. Definitely look into The New Order and Practice What You Preach if you like what you hear.

Be warned though, the production on The Legacy is pretty bad. The guitar sounds like bees buzzing in a tin can lol
