I'm definitely down for recommendations in a similar vein to Ulcerate so I'll try this band next

 

Deathspell Omega is definitely not an easy initial listen, they are intense af. Lot going on with their music.

Just a further reminder that the vocalist from DsO is at the very least an NSBM apologist in some of his other projects. Hence Jon's comment about the sketch. Just so you're all buyer beware.

 

New split 7" from a pair of rad Chicago bands. Of particular interest, Midnight Dice is a new project in a similar vein made up of all ex Satan's Hallow members after the primary songwriter left the band. Same vocalist and everything. I know this thread was all about those guys a couple years ago, and this track and the demo do a nice job filling the void that Satan's Hallow left when they broke up.

I will never stop posting about these guys. This album is definitely top 5 of the year for me...possible #1. We'll just have to see. Definitely check it out if you like groove-laden, Obituary-esque, hardcore-leaning death metal.
