I remember buying Jak and Daxter on a whim as a kid and loving it. Then Jak 2 just completely elevated that series.

 

I still have my original R&C and the first 3 Jak and Daxter games sitting on my shelf right now and I'm thinking about dusting off the ol' PS2 now haha

 

Same, all of my PS2 games are waiting in my parent's basement for me to go grab once the quarantine is over.

 

idk why this convo is here but my 2 cents is that i could never get into the jak games, but r&c was a top franchise.

 

Lol I think it's all my fault for asking if the Spyro games are worth buying for Switch so I asked how it stacks up against those other earlier PlayStation games

 

R&C>J&D>Neopets>Glover>Blinx>Spyro>Billy Hatcher>Crash

 

Original 3 Spyros > any other Sony platformer

 

Jak and Daxter 3 was the perfect gta clone

When I was a kid I remember being slightly disappointed they took Daxter off the title because I loved the character and felt that it shafted him in a way, as if a videogame character was a real person lol

It was also sorta jarring how dark and gritty the sequels were compared to the original, not that they were bad games. But I do think the original was the best

Definitely worth $40 to have Jak 1-3 for anyone that hasn't played them. Never played the racing one though lol

 

Jak, Spyro, Ratchet and Sly woo that era was beautiful

 

All this talk about older games just reminded me Tak and the Power of Juju was a thing. I don't remember much about it but I remember having a lot of fun playing it

 

this reminded me there was a show on Nickelodeon

 

Holy shit I forgot about that haha. I don't know if I ever watched it

I forgot about Sly. Those games were good on PS2
