The Wire is everything it's made up to be and I really liked season 2

I never finished The Wire either. Watched Season 1 and while I thought it was good and was definitely well done, I just didn't have any desire to watch more. Maybe one day.

The Wire is obviously well made and realistic and everything, but it doesn’t connect with me emotionally so it didn’t do much for me in the end.

 

I just can't relate to that.

My heart breaks any time Bubbles is on-screen. Season 4 is definitely my favorite season, chock full of sympathetic / emotional moments and stories.

I watched 2 episodes of hunters and then forgot about it.

 

I feel the same way, the way he lives in a shed with all his cats is very sad. He rescues them because he can relate to being abandoned by his parents.

I'm partial to Jim Lahey tho, because of all of his great shit-isms.

yeah The Wire is super emotional lol. Everything with Wallace and D’Angelo, season 2 dock workers losing everything, Avon/Stringer conflict, everything with the kids in s4-5, the entire stories of Omar/Bubbles

 

Think I might start rewatching Dark this weekend, I need the final season

 

I’ll rephrase: it was emotional while watching it but it doesn’t resonate with me now years later how my favorite movies or shows do.

Girlfriend and I watched “Can’t Hardly Wait” after like 15 years of not seeing it. Didn’t remember all the gay slurs and the white guy saying the n-word for laughs. Kept having to say “Different times!”

Anyone know if AMC premiere has all of season 5 of Better Call Saul? Or a way to watch the first four episodes ?

Yeah. I just finished season 4. Logged into AMC with my parents log in and saw they only have the four most recent.

 

Can’t remember who mentioned it but the docu-series How to Fix a Drug Scandal was real good.

4 episodes each 1 hour long

 

That was me! Yeah I cannot believe they successfully overturned all of those convictions. Definitely not something I'd expect to happen in this country. I just wish Coakley and her assistant AGs would get arrested. A "fraud on the court" HAS to be a felony. Super fucked. Idk how I never heard about all of this being so close to MA haha. I knew I had heard of Martha Coakley before anyways
