anyway yeah I mean I’m not sure what to say because I think there is *almost* just as much discourse about doc and joe being groomers and predators as there is about Carole being a murderer.
I think the difference can be chalked up to partially because “that bitch Carole baskin killed her husband” is obviously a meme-ified line from the show which means of course people are repeating it. But I’ve seen plenty of people refuting it and I haven’t seen ANYONE defend doc or joe for what they did. (Specifically the grooming predatory things)
and then partially because of just good old fashioned misogyny ofc

 

I mean it’s one thing to think it and it’s another for that to be the only comment you have about the documentary/situation

edit: also, Carole was almost certainly a sex worker when she met don. At the very least she claims she was also married. So I don’t think don should get all the blame in the breaking up the marriage thing.

 

I've seen people say Joe is innocent, haven't gotten to spoiler alert yet but he should be in jail just for the animal abuse and dating teenagers

Finished Tiger King. Glad they brought it back to animal rights at the end. Feel like with all these documentary series, there are moments that feel prolonged and stretched thin. I would have been cool with one or two less episodes. Though, it was very entertaining.

 

I still think Joe talking about dude's ball in his face during his eulogy is the most overlooked part of the entire 6 hour run time.

 

It was so fucking weird, and out of place. If I was his family I would be pissed.

my one gripe is that the site does basically zero work of helping you tailor your search for things. It’s like it just assumes you’re an aficionado who has heard of every movie and doesn’t need their help. When, at least for someone like me, it’s like I haven’t even heard of 80% of their films and have no conception of “if I like X then I may like Y.” As a result I never really end up checking out stuff that I may like but have simply never heard of the title/director

 

I’m only two episodes in to Tiger King but I’ve already made my assessment that Joe and Carole and the white trash parallels of Trump and Hillary
