Watching a gameplay video of Alyx, it's weird how you move around, kinda pick a spot to move it looks like? I guess that's to prevent motion sickness

 

with VR they usually give 2 options to traverse: teleportation and free roam. it's the same here.

yeah, some games (like NMS) don't handle free roam that well imo. so teleportation is better

 

I thought Quest was standalone? Can you slave it to a PC?

 

I would definitely break something in my house. I always hate hearing the poison headcrab rattle.

and yes @Your Milkshake it’s standalone but it has a link feature you just need a usb 3.0/C cable. Works flawlessly. Just watched my partner throw bottles at birds in the intro lol

 

You can play it just like any other shooter if you prefer. It really lets you do anything you want.

His announcement was pretty vague. Something about leaving to “find his THING” in life.

 

yeah kyle doesn't know what he's going to do but I'm surprised he's lasted this long.

that said Huber's new format (that gameshow?) is hella fun.

 

damn I just wanna play Alyx but I cant

 

so far Alyx is like a really nice mix between Half-Life 2, Reisdent Evil and Firewatch. The graphics are downright photorealistic at times, the headcrabs look like raw chicken with the skin still on, which makes them even more terrifying haha and the locations are so believable you want to wander around in them as if they were actual locations.

There was one section that was a little annoying (it would've been just as annoying in traditional Half-Life though) where I had to navigate a room that was full of red barrels in the darkness while avoiding Zombies.

 

Just hit level 53 with my first Borderlands 3 character. I'm playing with Mayhem 1 for now, but the Circles of Slaughter and Trial of Fervor are pretty intense. Like re-spec my character intense.

 

About halfway through Outer Worlds and I adore this game.

 

What are you playing it on?
