That's essentially what we did for Code Orange. It was fun. Honestly, I am really enjoying this format. I know it's not the same of course but my ability to go to shows is very hard these days. I hope we see a lot more of this once this whole thing is over.

For you grindcore dudes and dudettes, Slave to the Grind is up for free on YouTube during this trying time.

Fun fact: this isn't live! They recorded this last night because of the ban.

I liked the idea they pitched on Axe to Grind. Bands should stream live shows whenever possible and just charge a couple bucks for people to watch it. Extra revenue. I'd gladly throw $5 at a band to watch a live stream.

Now I just feel like I'm watching a Youtube video. What a jip.

Me and buddies chipped in and paid like $100 for a pay per view of Woodstock 99. We camped out in my parent's living room for 3 days straight watching sets all day long.

@riotspray what do you think? Going to check out the album? It's in my top 3 for the year so far.

Definitely. I still have a million other records to listen to, including the new Heaven Shall Burn, but I'm grabbing this now and adding it to the list.

I’ve listened to the new HSB at least 3 times and it’s a double album! Truther might be the heaviest song they have ever written.

If I wasn't as obsessive as I am about keeping up with podcasts, I would have already gotten to it. Tomorrow or Monday for sure.

What band was more influential to grindcore, Repulsion or Napalm Death?

Seeing RATM set the flag on fire, Fred Durst crowd surf on plywood, the wave of the crowd jumping to Korn, mudfights, bonfires, etc all happen live back in 99 when I was 15 or 16 was pretty cool. I had most of it taped on VHS but it's gotten lost/damaged over the years.

Kid Rock’s performance was pretty dope imo

I can't specifically remember his WS99 performance, but I do remember seeing him at Summer Sanatarium with a 20+ foot tall giant inflatable middle finger on stage.

    hmmm

Depends on the sound mix. Festival streams tend to be very patchy, sound-wise.

I mean, if they hired someone like Hate5Six there would be no concern. I think it’s absolutely feasible.

    hmmm

It's definitely feasible. It's just much more difficult with festivals.

Seems like Coachella and other fests have been able to pull it off, and they've been doing it for free. I know that I'm not alone when I say I'd pay $20 or more to get access to something like Sound and Fury for the weekend.
