Is that sarcasm or does it actually suck? I'll be living in a dorm and I don't really know what to expect.

kato isn't terrible, there is just nothing to do there. haha

 

Typical Minnesota small town. You're probably there during the coolest time though considering its Vikings training camp and you're effin living with them haha

 

Gotcha, thanks guys. I did training camp with the Chiefs last season and theirs is in this town called St Joseph and it was an absolute ghost town. I'm hoping Mankato has at least some bars or a movie theater to escape a little bit.

 

its a small college town so you won't have an issue finding bars, haha.

a few of my teachers played it for us in high school, but I usually put on The Current if I'm tuning in my dial.
I remember it being pretty, uhhh, interesting stuff back in the day, but The Current was like that, too, back when they started. it did introduce me to the Beastie Boys with No Sleep Til Brooklyn, though, haha.

 

Radio K's great, but I'm good friends with a couple people who work at the station, so I may be biased. I definitely prefer it to the Current now, as weird as that feels (my shift from Pitchfork towards Stereogum gives me the same sort of response).

 

My friend's band is playing at The Garage in Burnsville tonight. If anyone is looking for something to do and wants to do this chorus meetup, let me know and I'll give you more details!

 

probably going to Able Brewery tonight to see if I can score tickets to Eaux Claires. and maybe a skateboard art show at Cal Surf.

 

won 4 three day tickets and VIP camping to WE fest from work in Detroit Lakes next weekend, mostly going for the people watching and some kid rock classics.

yeah that sounds terrible. a festival is already not fun but imagine something with bands you didnt like.

 

Snagged a couple tix to the Louis CK surprise show at Acme tonight. This is going to be fucking nuts

Yep, that happened. I just kept refreshing and eventually it gave me the option to. It took like 10-15 minutes, though, I was lucky to be done with work already and had the time, haha
