    Agreed.

I find the clutching of pearls about how long he took to concede last cycle pretty dumb, but this time, we're quickly reaching the point where he's bound to piss off even reasonable and objective people who just want to win in November.

Last time it was abundantly clear that we had an incredibly weak, hand-groomed default candidate under FBI investigation, and the insurgent alternative just kept surging higher in national polls. Right now, everything is trending the wrong way, and the math is even more prohibitive. Plus, as absurd as it is, the aggregate of general election polls give Biden the upper hand in the electability argument.

I think staying through the debate on Sunday was admirable (though, to be brutally honest, I'm not sure Bernie's harshest attacks were a net positive at this stage of inevitability). But it's so far past over at this point that cashing out with whatever leverage we have is the overwhelmingly rational move.

A lot of my former students were in their senior year in college this year and I’m seeing a lot of heartbreaking posts from them saying goodbye to their friends and roommates and thanking them for making college so great and etc.

Man, losing spring semester of your senior year in college so sudden and unexpectedly would really suck

Joe Biden won't do any of the things Bernie fought for. He dismisses his supporters as bernie bros and says his ideas are pie in the sky nonsense.

  14. He’s better than Trump. Look at the Supreme Court, even if that’s all you look at and vote; it matters.

Oprah is trending on Twitter because there's a QAnon theory that she's involved with human trafficking and that's why Tom Hanks is in quarantine and we definitely need a reset on reality

This is where I’m at. Hopefully my ballot won’t be invalidated from me puking on it, but I have to vote for a dem who will (hopefully) put two liberal judges on the court.

Imagine if Bernie didn't run in 2016 or 2020. We'd probably have a nominee who's biggest platform ideas are a $12 federal min wage, debt-free college, investing in clean energy + putting limits on new fossil fuel plants, and middle class tax cuts.

Joe Biden will certainly (and already is) run on a much more progressive platform than that. Just look at the difference in the party platform from 2012 to 2016. You really wonder what would happen if Bernie didn't run and let Hillary just coast her way to the nomination with moderate ideas. Definitely wouldn't have a progressive movement as large and influential as you do today.

Today was a bit crazy here in Florida. I was very hesitant to even go to the polls to vote out of concern for the Coronavirus and just not wanting to be around people, but I still went out. When I arrived the polling location down the street from my house there were no cars in the parking lot. I walked in and I was the only one in there (aside from the three people working). I was literally in and out in a minute or two. Usually I have to wait in a line.

I still went to work. Spring Breakers are everywhere and they have no idea what to do now that every bar and club is closed. The restaurant I work at followed all the rules with only allowing 50 percent of the capacity. We didn’t put anything on the tables that would be reused at other tables. Kept our distance from everyone as best we could and no table could be sat within six feet of another table. We were on a two hour wait most of the night and our sales for the day were over $20,000. People are still going out and I think they’re stupid for doing so. Made over $300 tonight though, which is nice considering everything will more than likely be shutdown by the end of the week. Also my job is letting people stay home if they don’t feel safe, so working is optional (which I didn’t know before going to work).

One more thing. Tonight I had a 10 top of young Spring Breakers and I asked everyone to refrain from trying to touch me in anyway. All but one person respected it and kept trying to touch me. I snapped and looked at this kid and said “Stop trying to fucking touch me. If you touch me at all I’ll break your fucking hand.” His response, “That’s no way to get a tip.” I snapped again and said, “There’s an 18 percent gratuity on your bill automatically. It’s not about me earning a tip. It’s about respect and safety. Grow the fuck up. You’re embarrassing yourself and your friends.” The rest of the table apologized to me and tipped extra. Me snapping is not in my character. I’m very happy go lucky and chill. It’s hard to stress me out at work even when it’s slammed, but I just felt uneasy being there as it was today.

Alright. My story time is done.

I don't understand, why would patrons at a restaurant try to touch an employee?

They try to give high fives and such and grab my arm as I’m walking by to ask me for something. It happens all of the time and it’s never comfortable. I always tell the person they can just ask next tine and give them my nickname at work if they can’t remember Trevor. Older people always want to shake your hand for some reason.

Ah, that makes sense. I guess I remember patrons tugging on my apron as I passed by to get my attention when I was at my last restaurant job. I was picturing someone trying to like punch a server in the shoulder or something and just couldn't figure it out lol. Definitely still an uncomfortable thing, though.
