I’ve been playing through KH3 with the new base combo modifiers that we’re added with the DLC. The game is my second favorite entry of the franchise now, it’s so responsive and gorgeous and the boss fights are all high stakes and fair on critical mode. I’m very glad we live in an era where devs will improve the coregameplay of games even if it’s only through DLC. After being disappointed by gaming from MGSV and FFXV it feels great to have something I was looking forward to for so long play so great.

You won't have other options for Series X games specifically. All back compat games will be able to run from regular USB storage like they do right now.

This is a good week for Doom to be released since I'll have nothing else to do when we are quarantined. Was hoping maybe they would release it earlier than Friday since so many people are unexpectedly home with so much free time.

 

Just read you'll be able to store Series X games on regular USB storage, but not run them from it. So you could probably just transfer/copy them to the internal ssd storage when you want to play them and move them out when you're done. Probably for single player games more than anything.

Also, just like you'll be able to use Xbox One controllers on the Series X, you'll be able to use Series X controllers on the Xbox One. Lol. Random, but kinda neat.

I think the consoles are going to require read write speeds that are uniform and that current SSDs aren’t good enough.
