  1. I'm not sure either, but I think they have to go through additional training. Likewise, associates that get certified in Microsoft get pay bumps as well.

Currently making the switch from Spotify to Apple Music. Does hearting/liking songs have any effect on the "For You" page? The only thing I'm really missing so far is my spotify "discover" page and some of the social features.

Theoretically it should make a difference if you like songs, albums, etc...but I can't say for sure. I think it really just goes more off of what I answer for my likes when first signing up and what content I add to my library.

  4. No clue. It's not very clear. I was considering a move to Spotify. Why the switch for you?

That's what I figured. I appreciate the option to mark things you don't like on that page though.

I didn't have any serious issues with Spotify on desktop or mobile but I'm not a very patient person. I was getting sick of albums showing up weeks or months late, sometimes not at all due to the free tier (I assume).

The "For You" page is horrible. I didn't find it improving no matter how many songs I "Hearted".

  9. It really was the perfect streaming platform for more and more reasons that come to mind as I suffer through the Apple Music experience.

It will. You'll see that it changes as you like more things. It's always one of those things that I forget to do, though.

I found that I had to reset my initial settings (what genres and artists you like) for it to actually work.

Considering I'm in a state of flux around what podcast app I use...

What does everyone else use? I've seemingly tried them all and keep going back to the stock app because it syncs with iTunes and I do most of my listening at my desk while I work.

I really like Overcast. Great UI and I like a lot of the little touches they include within the app.

  16. ;-p

I still think it's the best by a pretty wide margin.

I can't get past some of the decision Marco made with Overcast. I hate the font and I'm not willing to pay for the dark theme and San Francisco as the UI font. I think my biggest hurdle is that I like being able to quickly pause a podcast when I need to take a call and not always have my headphones in or audio playing over the iPhone speaker when I have the iMac in front me. I know I can make a Fluid app for overcast.fm and use some scripting for it to intercept my keystrokes but I generally don't like hacking my way into usability anymore. I liked it when I used it but there's just little things about it that make me unhappy.

  18. Yeah, if you're gonna need it on the desktop mostly I wouldn't use it either. I just listen to podcasts exclusively through my phone so that's never been a problem for me. If I did, I'd just use iTunes since I suffer through it anyway and like the media key access as well.

Paying for dark themes is cool. B-)

That's where I'm at. iTunes is fine because it's all there in one application for me (Apple Music and Podcasts) but overall...pretty generic. And some podcasts refuse to sync properly like This American Life.

Anyone use icloud.com? Tried multiple browsers, different connections, but when I log in and try to access my Numbers spreadsheets or documents, it starts to load, and then automatically logs me out. Log back in, try to access anything within the icloud.com UI, and it does the same thing. Anyone else having this issue?

I strictly only ever go to Best Buy to look at something to then buy on Amazon for cheaper heh.

  25. I love the barcode scanner on the Amazon app. I use it every time I go to Walmart.
