Yes. This x1000. As long as she’s the new Sydney so we keep seeing her in subsequent films. Don’t make her the killer please

There is only one Sidney Prescott and she better damn well be in Scream 5

Also I know people hate Scream 3 but it has a special place in my heart. Parker Posey is the best

Haha. You’re not wrong about Sidney. But they’re gonna have to pass the torch at some point! I can’t think of anyone better out there than Samara. Maybe Anya Taylor Joy, but I couldn’t see her in that type of role.

Flabbergasted at the suggestion of anyone else being Sidney, or any of the other main characters honestly. It’s one of the few series that has stayed true to itself while coming into a new era and understanding of horror tropes, and if they just reboot it with younger actors I couldn’t be more out. It’s worrying enough to be making one without Wes.

Oh I didn’t mean have her actually be Sidney, I just meant the Sidney type protagonist. I feel Scream 5 insinuates a continuation of the story, not a reboot. I’m not looking for a remake or anything else other than a canon sequel continuing to the next chapter.

I just read they have the writer of 1, 2, and 4 on to executive produce too. We all knew they weren’t going to let this franchise disappear. I’m just glad they seem to be assembling the best possible team to give it a good chance.

Did anyone get the In Search of Darkness doc? Theyre selling it again for 3 days but it’s $50. Idk if it’s worth that

Currently watching The Wicker Man. Seems like Midsommar definitely drew some influence from it. Not sure how much I’m liking it though.

I love it so much, one of the best ever. However it’s a running joke in my family because it traumatized my mother SO much that she was mad at me for days and refused to watch anything I recommended for a while. Now any time something is questionable or needs to be vetted beforehand we refer to it as avoiding The Wicker Man.

My mom is sitting here hating it haha. I can see why so many things have since drawn from it. But I’m almost done watching and it’s pretty middle of the road for me. Unless this ending somehow wows me, I don’t see me living it by any means.

Scream 3 isn’t a bad movie at all, but I’m always so intrigued into the “what could’ve/would’ve been” since the studio wanted them to go for a more comedy oriented angle after the Columbine shooting

I stand for Parker Posey praise. Actually got to tell her in person I loved her role in that movie in a store once and she was awesome about it.

  24. Wow, TCM: The Next Generation is fucking batshit crazy. Like, close to being on par with the second film. McConaughey really goes for it. I'm pretty sure this series as a whole is one of the most gruesome and disturbing in horror history.
