It’s funny how much of the GamerGate crowd hates him considering he’s the only one doing real hard-hitting investigative reporting in the video game industry.

Almost like GamerGate wasn’t really about games journalism at all....nah, couldn’t be.

 

Ironically I do think that games journalism has an ethics problem, I’m just not sure why the answer is attacking Anita and Zoe.

 

That time he ranted about the people who weren't happy about AC Odyssey's micro-transactions, which was everyone except him apparently. Just as an example.

To be clear, he doesn't say anything offensive or fucked up as far as I know. Just stupid stuff sometimes.

It absolutely has an ethics problem. Probably more than we know. How Anita and Zoe became the center of it all is beyond me. They're not even game journalists.

Getting excited over Naughty Dog games is unhealthy. Mediocrity isn't exciting.

 

I know I haven't enjoyed Schreier's takes on RPGs personally, that's about all I got on him tho

 

his book Blood, Sweat, and Pixels is a great read. interested to see what the one he’s working on now is.

 

He definitely did not like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for all you geeks that worship it

That's because while he knows a lot about games and the industry and happens to be a great writer and investigative journalist, his taste is absolute shit and his reviews/opinions on games are often cringe worthy to the Jared Leto Joker level

Can't get into anything right now so I'm just playing SNES JRPGs. Finished BoF2 onto Lufia 2 lol

 

hell yeah I'm like full-on in JRPG mode right now. Lufia 2 is so damn good. Ever since I got my SNES mini I've started and left unfinished Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Link to the Past, and Super Mario RPG. Damn that's depressing to type out.

BUT I have finished Lufia 2 and FF 4 + 6 at the very least.
