I'm honestly surprised that it hurt Trump so much. I mean, Swift Boats for Veterans was pretty effective back in the day.

  3. Sanders supporters (in CNN):

    2-way: HRC 91%, Trump 6%
    4-way: HRC 69%, Johnson 13%, Stein 10%, Trump 3%

"Washington is really out of touch w what people need. His teeth were also made by Mexican rapists. Sad!"

  5. Donald Trump Hired Me As An Attorney. Please Don't Support Him For President.
Four business bankruptcies (1991, 1992, 2004 and 2009), the Plaza Hotel, Trump Air, all three casinos (a couple times) the steaks, the water, Trump Centre in New Jersey that I worked on, Manhattan’s West Side rail yards (where buildings do bear his name as a consolation), the much-hyped $35,000 get-rich scheme Trump University ― all failures by any measure except of course to Donald, who “has no regrets, whatsoever.”

Do any of you folks think we could be blindsided by a Trump presidency in the same way the British were blindsided by a Brexit? I mean, the week before a fascist killed a member of Parliament, which drew ire from all walks of life, but which wasn't enough to make people want to change their vote. They accepted it as part of the price to be paid.

  7. I was thinking about that as well. That and how just a few years cycles ago an extra marital affair was enough to make you basically unelectable.

  9. Any other day, any other election ... this kind of answer is the biggest story of the election.

One of the noteworthy things of the brexit vote and the 2015 general election was how wrong the polling was. The day of both votes, current polling said that Remain would win a narrow victory and in 2015 we were so confident that it would be a hung parliament.

In both instances, there was a shift to the right that wasn't reflected in the polling, because of "secret conservatives", essentially people not admitting to their voting intentions because of the stigma associated with them. The Scottish Independence vote is another example of this.

Whether those sort of polling discrepancies are possible in the US, I don't know. However, we've been burnt twice now, so people are going to be a lot more skeptical of polling results next time around.

I've never actually read any of his works, besides that which has been cited in others'. But I'm fairly versed in Keynesian applications, and, as someone who is sympathetic to maintaining markets, even as secondary channels for capital, I think it's useful. However, I think the all-powerful Krugman has done just as much to bastardize Keynesian economics in the global setting as he has done to clarify it with regard to divorcing intervention from the devices that prompt it.

I'd vote for a monkey ticket if one was a large super powerful monkey who has a super windup punch and can make the earth shake just by hitting it and the other monkey was much smaller with a jet pack made from a barrel and they both ran on a platform of turning the economy around via the collection of bananas at the cost of millions of alligator and crocodile lives.

I still can't believe Trump's comments about John McCain being a POW, which is basically the one thing about McCain you can't criticize

Ah yes conveniently ignoring the fact that the US is more often attacked by homegrown terrorists...why couldn't anyone convince this guy to just take the weekend off and avoid this whole mess? His campaign team must've just given up at this point.
