Already having nightmares of Lucroy hitting a walkoff against Miller in the ALCS

a) that's one scouting report b) it's a dumb scouting report. it says his upside is a 10-12 home run guy. he's hit 6 in 160 big league at bats.

 

Philly not trading hellickson doesn't make sense, boras isn't going to let him accept a QO so they're just gonna let him hang out for another 2 months.

 

There is a ball player named Lucius Fox and he's not related to Morgan Freeman.

 

Wonder who the PTBNL is gonna be and why it couldn't have been announced now?

Haha yeah they did incredible. Gary Sanchez finally needs to get a shot, hopefully catching and DH is just split mostly between him and McCann next year. And excited to have Bird back. He starts swinging a bat today actually and will probably play in the Arizona Fall League.

 

He could still clear waivers and be traded. Rumor was the Phils wanted 1 good caliber prospect for him so a lot of teams scoffed at it. I dont think the Phillies want him to take a QO, they'd rather get the draft pick if someone signs him. To be honest though, if they offer him one, it would be a mistake for him not to take it, QO's are going to be over 16 million for next season, no way he makes that on the market.

 

Lol I love radio callers. Caller into the Michael Kay show: they should sit Tanaka for the rest of the year so they can get a better draft pick. Hahaha

 

I mean yea, at this point its worthless. They're locked into a random middle spot and cant just vault into the top 10. These callers in general, just gross.

 

Would have preferred Pearce, but I like the Guyer pick up. It is truly bizarre how often he gets HBP.

 

.....at least Sabathia gets to hit tonight? Haha

IMO, Mets, with their staff are built to win now. As a Mets fan I kind of like the move. But it's obvious Terry and Sandy don't have much fore thought and don't think ahead or a step ahead very often. Quite frankly, I think the ball club's biggest flaw is their manager, who has made tons of mistakes / bad decisions this year. I honestly think he's pretty clueless.

 

Nice write up from Matt Kemp about becoming a Brave. Hope he does well.
