Rangers making a lot of moves but still keeping Mazara/Gallo/Profar is smart

 

Gained Beltran, Lucroy and Jeffress but kept Gallo and Profar. Biggest loss is Brinson as CF is our biggest weakness, but no guarantees he ever hits well. Happy with things overall.

 

Watch them trade gallo and another package for a rays pitcher or something

If y'all haven't, it's worth listening to the The Ringer's MLB podcast episode with Jeff Passan, wherein Ben Lindbergh talks with him about what it's like to talk to sources about trades, confidentiality, and all that. Ben Gibbard of Death Cab is also on in the later segment to talk Ichiro and the Mariners. Really good episode with a lot of insight about the rumor mill and hunting for info.

Okay, I actually like this.

 

Why would it make you feel better? Herrera's a better prospect and plays a position of need. We didn't need another LHH corner outfielder, now we have 4 with Nimmo and Bruce.

 

Actually kinda happy we get to keep Nimmo

 

I think Nimmo is gonna be an all star in a few years. Can't say I believe the same about Herrera.

Also: Mets have a second deal. Not sure what yet.

 

Not confirmed yet but I'm surprised. Giants sold low on Duffy, Shaw is a guy on the rise who is going to be in the top 50 really soon.

 

Pearce traded to Baltimore.
