Good line-up, but The Ataris shouldn’t be that high on the bill lol

 

The Ataris are one of the worse "bands" I've seen live, Kris was managing the band while performing

 

My band opened for them the last time they played in Denver. They traveled with no backline so we let them use our cabs and drums.

 

Probably just because they’re an older band

Didn't someone say Blink-182 / The Used tour was incoming? Could see that with maybe State Champs and potentially another small band from here on there.

 

If they actually play after State Champs and FYS that’d be embarrassing lol

 

I think I’ll just be going to Inkcarenation on Friday now. Not that I was sure I’d go Saturday or Sunday but I’d rather see blink-182 and The Used then blink-182 and Hollywood Undead.

That whole "Kris Roe throws drumset at drummer" fiasco happened with Rob from Patent Pending. He was their drummer at the time.

i feel like i've heard theyre doing a headliner soon, thats probably what support for the ND tour can't be announced yet

 

I liked seeing The Ataris at Warped 2017, but they don't have the stage presence to justify them playing that late in the day, especially not after State Champs.

 

The Used and Grandson got added to Blink 182's show in Lansing on July 10th.

Possible tour.

 

My biggest issue with the Ataris is that they have been essentially playing the same setlist for 15+ years now, unless they're doing a So Long Astoria show and even then... The set skews so heavily in that direction usually anyway, so what's the point?

At this point, I'm just not sure who they're hoping to impress. The people who are into them just for that album only want to hear the singles for the most part, anyway. You could add a bit more diversity and keep it fun for everyone instead of playing the same songs every single time... Instead of effectively telling people who are into the bulk of your discography to fuck right off with the song choices. I get that some of those older fan favorite songs haven't aged so well, but there's ways to do it and albums they literally play nothing off of anymore.

 

Kris solo shows are so much more fun than full band Ataris shows. No band to bicker with, and he usually takes requests and tells great stories.
