New release date is may 29th 2020

 

So I'm not annoyed that the game was delayed per se, but I'm a little annoyed it's so close to the prior announcement of the february release date. I understand marketing, but things go viral so fast, you don't need to start a marketing campaign 4 months in advance just to push it 2 months because you were too hasty. Maybe I'm way off, but I feel like a game with this much hype, would sell just as many copies if they sent out a release date notification 2 weeks before release as they would 6 months before. New games that don't have a built in fanbase? Sure, announce those early and build anticipation but there was no need for them to have announced the release date and got it wrong.

 

I think it was the studio seeing an opportunity with their christened Outbreak Day to make it bigger than ever before. They were clearly prepared for that, but maybe they’ve hit a few snags since? It doesn’t irk me at all that they’ll have a few more months to polish the game.

I know it's an obvious choice, but I would like to see Hugh Jackman as Joel. Or maybe Joel Edgerton, but I think he'd actually make a solid David. I assume Ellie will be an unknown actor

Exactly who I thought of as well. Anybody who’s seen her in Justified knows she’d kill this role.
