Idk what thread this belongs in but has anyone seen the netflix originals Chelsea Does...? I just watched the Chelsea Does Racism one and just...wow...

 

I can't tell if this is a good or a bad thing?

 

I can't see myself watching anything she does because I just don't like her, plus her treatment of Chuy was pretty ableist

 

Well ok so it's a documentary style series right. so Like you start out being like ok Chelsea sucks she doesn't get anything and then she interviews all these people and you're like omg this is insane that people are saying these things publicly, confidently, etc. Then you cry. Then you think Chelsea at least has a little bit of clarity and realization, and she provides good response to all the racists to highlight how ridiculous and wrong they are.
I don't know. I put on the chelsea does series as like something to have on in the background and was pleasantly surprised.
Some parts of it are still awful don't get me wrong. But the Racism one was very interesting to me and I was wondering if anyone else had seen it

edited to add: there is a part where she 'interviews'/meets with the heads of several different minority group advocates. Like people who are involved in representation in media. So yeah I thought of this thread.
edited to clarify: don't get me wrong chelsea says plenty of racist shit in the episode but it's an interesting juxtaposition against people who are actually super racist or were affected by racism (there is a whole segment on police brutality/black lives matter)
