I’ve been saying that so much I feel like a loop. It’s why I have always advocated for Bernie to offer her something to join up in a strong way instead of hoping she drops out and you just “get” her voters that I’m not sure would just come on over.

 

I don't know if there was a point where Warren supporters were more likely to have bernie as a 2nd choice, a lot of the people still hanging on are people who would be fine with biden, have been brainwashed by careerists that all bernie people are toxic, and of course some are just antisemitic.

Here’s my positive take after sleeping on it (badly): I’ve suffered worse losses over my political life and this ain’t over yet. The campaign and race is still very much on. If we can’t beat simple endorsements and a consolidated race and media/money being against us, what chance do we have against Trump? Winning now proves we can win then. So I’m doubling my efforts for the next few weeks.

 

Damn, not the results I wanted to wake up to. Onwards to next Tuesday.

 

also, the “front runner” has hopped half a dozen times so far. it happens. let’s see biden with the spotlight on him. i like bernie’s underdog chances more than his front runner chances. it’s far from over, especially with what we’re seeing from CA

 

Fuck it, we need to win. The more and more I talk to people in my life, the more I realize that most people are not extremely online and easily swayed by the simplest things. Also, that people see candidates and the narratives surrounding them and not policy more often than I care to admit. So many of my friends that are seemingly politically aligned with me but have opinions on things that make absolutely no sense if they truly wanted to vote for the values they say they believe in - the little bit of power I have in my life is in conversation with people and trying to help them see where to put their vote to truly make the difference they wanna make.

Also, working constantly to bring my age group out to vote. We overwhelmingly are a generation that supports these policies but it doesn't mean shit if we don't go out and vote and organize for it. I'm sad about the results of last night but motivated more than ever to keep doing this. It's not over yet.

 

if Bernie won Texas Jessica probably would have also won, right? Ugh. I think having the national primaries go on the same time as congressional and senate ones is almost always gonna favor the centrist.

 

I think there were two or three inflection points where it woulda been best. However, I still think he could get a good amount if done the right way.

 

Somebody in my life threw away their vote to Buttigieg last night - knowing he had dropped out - because she said she was too uninformed to vote for anyone else. I just...what? But ultimately I took away that I failed to have a genuine conversation with her, because I know she wouldn't have done that if we had just talked about it. Gonna keep fighting on.

 

I just feel so much worse than 2016 because all the momentum is behind Joe and it really does seem like people are just ready for the safe pick just to get rid of Trump. Like, I don’t feel good at all about Bernie being able to force a contested convention at this point, because of Biden has the plurality and is within striking distance with the super delegates....

It just sucks because I want Bernie and Warren to be able to play king maker and force a few issues into the platform. Student loan debt and green new deal initiatives mostly. A wealth tax as well.

 

They say something about football teams with nothing to lose are the most dangerous or something? Hopefully that's real and not just an expression
