Been meaning to get into them. Really liked Somewhere Along the Highway album. Haven’t heard anything else.

Highly recommend the album from last year, Dawn to Fear and Vertikal.

Atmospheric Black Metal and Funeral Doom.
Either way, two tracks, 40 minutes and absolutely amazing.

What do you think? I've felt like the vocals on the last few records have been offputting, but I feel like I'm finally getting on board with them.

I forgot how much I love this record and this song in particular. One of the best slow burn metal songs.

Musically, they are on point. Vocally, I could do without it but the music is the star of the show and it doesn’t take away from that, so I can sort of ignore it. It doesn’t bother me but if they stopped with them altogether I wouldn’t be upset.

I would imagine the Hardcore thread might suit you better but also no judgment here. Both of those bands are fucking gnarly.

I'm not a huge fan of those bands, but I don't dislike them either. I'd say the hardcore, or maybe even the numetal thread (re: Dealer) would be a good place, but this thread is pretty accepting of all heavy music, so don't feel like you can't post here. We're not your typical elitist metalheads.

Just don't post any As I Lay Dying, and you're good.

There is also a metalcore/post-hardcore thread that's not as active. You can also always start a band thread or another genre thread if those don't necessarily fit your needs.

also re Peter Kowalsky: best wishes to him and hope his recovery goes well. my family has history with colon cancer, and it ain't fun so it's good to sound like he's got some good support for him and headed his way.
