    I didn't like it until I saw them live on that tour. It was maybe the best sounding song in the set. Plus, the bridge is fantastic.

    All five of their worst songs are on Crazy World. Though "Learning to Fall" is pretty close.

    "MSK" is perfect, period. Cannot wrap my head around how anyone who is a fan of this band would not like that song.

    Fair enough.

    I'd mostly agree with this statement, though I think there are a handful pop punk songs on Lights & Sounds. There are none on Lift a Sail.

    "Make Me So" and "Deepest Well"?

    Eh, I think it's a stretch to call those songs pop punk, particularly the latter. "Make Me So" is definitely the closest, which is why it doesn't fit on the album. But I still think it feels less like typical pop punk than stuff like "Lights & Sounds," "Rough Landing Holly," "Sure Thing Falling," etc. "Deepest Well" is symphonic rock in the vein of late Anberlin.

  17. "Fragile & Dear" is my favorite on Lift a Sail, and might be my favorite YC track in general.

    Real talk this is a really good rock band all in all.

    Weird that despite how influential YC are we haven't really seen any other bands attempt the "violin inside a pop punk/rock band"

    probably not that many violin players that want to be in a pop punk band, haha.

    I wish more bands would experiment with lineups though. Can I get one band with a permanent accordion player? Geez.

  21. Craig Manning

    @FurtherFromSky Moderator

    Counting Crows have an accordion player who is a full time member, but he also does piano and keyboards. And clarinet, apparently.

    Not here to pick fights or anything but I just need to say that the clarinet is easily my least favorite woodwind instrument

    My roommate in college played clarinet, and I hate that instrument. Haha
