I have had this problem with my mom lately. She started following Dave Ramsey because she wants to get out of debt which I respect. The problem is she has basically cut out everything in her life and now starting to preach it for my life also. It's like when I go out to eat or go to the movies, she gives me this whole "that money could have gone to bills" and I am like AND THEN WHAT?

It's like I get it bills need to be paid but once those bills are paid all that is going to happen is more bills will show up. I can't just hoard money because my job is meh.

 

Ya being a trust fund baby would be nice.

1) Eat only beans and rice
2) Drive a 1994 Camry
3) Work 3 jobs
4) Pay off Credit Card
5) Die

 

pretty much. They have the bare minimum for food in their house and my parents don't believe in owning a lot of clothes because "you only need enough clothes to last a week."
