It’s somehow growing on me Meet Me on the Roof and Teenage Teenager is a great back to back.

 

Dookie to American Idiot is one of the best five-album runs ever. Put those in any order and you'd have your top five. Personally, today:

i like "junkies on a high" it's like a version of "nightlife" that actually works/doesn't suck hard

 

Tre is pretty solid. I'm not sure what happened with the rest of the trilogy, or how they saved most of the best songs from it for that album. Dos is their worst album ever and it's not even close.

Swap out 21st Century Breakdown with Nimrod and I'd agree fully. Gotta be my #1 Green Day album.

 

Nightlife is a guilty pleasure Green Day song. Sorry, not sorry.

 

The only issue I have with Nightlife is that everyone hates it.

Jk that actually makes me like it more.

The only good song Green Day has ever done was the very well-written "rap" part of Nightlife that lady cobra did. Everything before and since has been irredeemable trash.

 

That's certainly a take.

 

Dookie is overrated and Nimrod is about 5 songs too long, but definitely agree that these are GD's top 5 albums (although I might sneak 21CB over Nimrod on some days) and a very impressive stretch. I'd probably go:

Lol I re-listened to some of Tre tonight and it was okay, but holy shit I forgot how lame the guitar tones are in the trilogy. I didn't really care when I was younger, but there are some songs with interesting ideas that could really pop with a little more crunch or a little more ANYTHING
