But I'm a gatekeeper and a strong advocate for arbitrary console loyalties so NO ONE GETS YAKUZA BUT SONY.

 

Just finished Control.

Excellent game. Loved the gameplay, intermixing powers with guns. Destructibleness is great and I liked the atmosphere created by the world. Some truly amazing parts, good variation of difficulty as well. That map reminds me of old games where it gives you a general idea where you are, but not the exact path. Only negatives are the slow down when opening and closing menus and the load time. Probably my favorite game so far from 2019.

Now it's on to Plague Tale since it's on Game Pass.

 

Only time I've ever enjoyed them is on the first Mirror's Edge

 

Just bought the Dead Cells DLC for 5 bucks, pretty fuckin stoked to get back into it.

 

Playing the original Destroy All Humans! on ps4 and I’m hysterics. Can’t believe I missed out on all these incredible jokes as a kid. The banter between Crypto and Pox is brilliant

 

Modern Warfare is getting battle royale then. Neat. To be expected.

Finally getting around to playing Ori, and I’m really enjoying it so far, but easily the most infuriating part of this game is how it never autosaves and you have to remember to constantly manual save so you don’t have to backtrack if you die. Super frustrating.

 

Ouch. I’ve had my fair share of frustrating auto-save situations, but manual save only games are so bloody dated it’s unreal. Consistent checkpoints are the only way to go unless it’s something like Bloodborne, aka it’s part of the gameplay

 

Agreed. Now don’t get me wrong, it only takes a quick second to save in this game and you can do it virtually anywhere on the map, but having to constantly remind yourself to do so is tedious.

 

We all know that in truth they belong on the hypothetical Dreamcast successors

 

Tony Hawk’s Underground gave us gaming’s best villain

Have you gotten to the point in the skill tree where saving restores a piece of health? You’ll be doing it so often that you won’t have to consciously think about saves much if at all

 

I did that gain that perk after posting that, and you’re absolutely right lol. Knowing saving gives you extra health, I’ve been doing it as often as possible. Definitely a nice solution to that early game problem.
