Maybe I am simply hyper sensitive, but given the mood of the country, having a billionaire giving a speech doesn't seem like a good look, especially if that billionaire did everything in his power to enforce stop and frisk. It actually makes me feel badly for the mothers from last night who, it is clear to me, had their pain used as a basis for party unity and the likes of those that see no problem in their children's deaths.

Disappointed that I missed Biden's speech. Was looking forward to it.

I did stumble across this today. While some of their points are dumb, many of them make a lot of sense. Jill Stein’s Ideas Are Terrible. She Is Not the Savior the Left Is Looking For.

Kaine gonna surprise a lot of people here. His speech when he was announced as VP was great. His policies may be questionable, but the guy knows how to give a speech.

That being said, if you were watching on mute, you'd think he was a standup comedian.

Not sure if that is a good trait or a bad trait for a VP

Yeah he has a few weird mannerisms/body movements; the way he smiles and the way he points. Just kinda goofy, haha

Was that "yes we can" in Spanish?

  12. Tim Kaine saying "podemos" would make me really sad

Maybe it's because he is having to follow Biden's speech, but he just doesn't come across as a great speaker to me, more like a guy they would put in to fill time between great speakers.

This is stupid and looks like it was written by David87. This article uses some bullshit logic to somehow turn an answer where she said she isn't anti-vax into an making her an anti-vax defender (its not legitimate to criticize lobbying in medicine and food industries now?) and acts like pesticides shouldn't be researched (cites to a denial website funded by the industry!), and then brushes off crippling student loan debt, and best of all defends the fucking bank and wall street bail out! Cutting our military spending in half isn't that crazy unless of course your party leader is a war hawk. And it ends with a classic defense of Obama's failures as really all the republicans fault and we should be applauding him and his administration. Is anyone on the left supposed to take this hit piece seriously?

By the way 100% renewable by 2030 may be lofty but its doable in the not so distant future Stanford engineers develop state-by-state plan to convert U.S. to 100% clean, renewable energy by 2050 | Stanford News Release
Its also kind of fucking important.
Unemployment figures are actually misleading. Its not a conspiracy theory.

In sum, liberals continue to be the graveyard for real change.
    No offense to David87.

This would be a good line of attack if Hillary didn't have her own share of trust problems

Convinced the Spanish speaking by Kaine is to goad Trump into saying something horribly racist. Not that one really needs to goad him.

Like I said, there are things that are dumb in this but some make sense. Closing all of our foreign bases (700+) is ridiculous and could never happen. I would love to see 100% clean energy by 2030 but it can't happen, especially if we get rid of nuclear. That link you posted is for 2050, which I do believe is definitely possible if we get started asap. However, getting there in less than 15 years to me just doesn't make sense. And the fact that she says we can just cancel all the student debt with no cost to taxpayers or anything, I mean, I don't know much about that but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that, but correct me if I am wrong, just trying learn things here.

This isn't related to the article but something about Jill that bothers me (don't get me wrong, overall she has a great platform and she seems like a good person who actually cares), but she spins the notion that Hillary Clinton is as bad, if not worse than Trump, by saying everything we fear from Trump, we have already seen from Hillary. Last I checked Hillary did not round up 11 million immigrants or build a wall across a border. She has never supported tax breaks for the wealthiest people. She has never ignored the climate like Trump when he says we need to get rid of all environmental regulations because climate change is a hoax. Hillary hasn't implemented a healthcare system like Trump, she has actually been a long fighter for universal healthcare.

Don't get me wrong here, I favor Jill's platform over Hillary. Gary Johnson was asked if he thought Trump or Clinton was better. His VP jumped in and said Hillary no doubt was better. I respected that response. But when people on the left can't say that Hillary is at least slightly better, it gets me a little annoyed.
