The only time i'll pick watching NXT over AEW live is such as last week where they had a few big matches booked and promoted that I really wanted to watch, specifically the Dusty final. If both shows aren't promoting huge matches i'm going AEW every time.

 

I like how WWE ruined the Rhea/Belair feud with Charlotte... wait... they didn’t? And they booked the segment on NXT pretty much perfectly? I am shocked. Shocked am I.

Queue “well, they had to do that after what they did on Raw blah blah” responses.

 

I just don’t have time for AEW. Two hours of wrestling a week is all I really need and NXT fills that spot comfortably. Moxley, Omega and the Lucha Bros are enough to make me wanna tune in at the moment.

 

Also, is Poppy an in joke that has fooled everyone? Because that song they’re using for Takeover next week? Yeesh. That style sounded dated in 2002.

 

it was fine but it could have been better - announcing Charlotte for NXT did nothing for them ratings wise

i was very upset about Ciampa until i read it's an ankle injury. i assumed he reaggravated his neck and got legit shook for a second. makes the reality a lot easier to swallow lol.

 

Does anybody know where jimmy havoc is? Havent seen him on dymamiten in weeks

oooo good call. i havent watched Dark in a few weeks so idk if he's there, but i think he has been announced for a Progress appearance? maybe they gave him some time to get his shit lined up after the Jimmy's Seafood debacle lol

 

Give her album a shot. It's kind of a compilation of songs that influenced her. Takes elements of metal, post hardcore, nu metal and industrial. Every song has a completely different feel. You and bones are probably the only two not into it.

Man that Takeover card is super strong. I'm assuming there will be a preshow match too since the venue just moved the start time to 3:30PM. Would love to see a CW match with Garza, Swerve, Devlin, or Rush added.

Why does it bother me that Santana and Ortiz don’t have first names? Especially when they wrestle singles matches

 

Considering that until a patch came out, the game crashed if you tried to play it on January 1st and beyond, I'd say it was a huge disaster

 

i buy every shitty wrestling game. pretty literally. 2k20 is the only one i can remember not buying since the first Smackdown on ps1

 

Vince wishes he could pull off 10 lashes ending a show. The crowd fully behind Cody, those hits looked brutal. SUPER sports entertained.

Best part of the night was Orange Cassidy saying no to dark order with hands in the pocket. I died.

Another excellent week. No complaints. They dropped Nightmare Collective thank god.

As amazing as the Network is as a deal to fans, I never really understood why they went so low with the price that includes EVERY ppv. I don't think any fan would have ever balked if WWE came out with the Network for $9.99 a month but then you had to buy the monthly PPV through the Network on top of that for like, $40. Or even if $9.99 a month for the Network got you every PPV except the big four, which you could purchase in-app for $69 or whatever those PPVs used to cost to buy. But we've had this insane deal to watch PPVs for so long, I don't know how you tear it away without the majority of folks saying, "Well, fuck it then. I'll either illegally stream it or just not watch at all." Of course, there are those who will still pay it, but taking something away from people that maybe you should have never given them in the first place seems like a really misguided approach. (Not to mention a great way to sway more people to spend their money on an AEW PPV instead if they have to choose between the two.)
