WWE financials are not very good at all. Everything is down except for Fox deal and Saudi money. Even not understanding finance, I can see a lot of issues in the ledger.

Since I finished second in the Rumble card, I'd like to consider myself the #1 contender for the title now. I'm coming for you, Dan!

Sounds like WWE is trying to cut all possible ties on the Network - sell off PPV and possibly archive rights to the highest bidder in the streaming world (Peacock, ESPN+, DAZN, etc.)

Selling off the rights to PPV's feels wild.

Crazy how far things have come. Just within the last couple of years there were multiple rumors of WWE trying to get the libraries from ROH and TNA. Now they're possibly selling off their own? Wow.

    F4w had this tidbit

"In the most intruiging and game-changing part of the call, Vince McMahon says that the "selling of our rights to the majors" could be a significant revenue increase for the company, adding there is very strong interest in it. At this point, there's nothing that would stop the company from selling the rights to their major shows like WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, or other entities, according to interim CFO Frank Riddick. That would indicate big changes to the Network are coming and coming soon."

Analysis of the report and the audio are up on the site. WWE Q4/full 2019 financial results & audio: Revenue, Network subs, more

I don’t think they’d be selling off the rights to their archive, just the big events. Which is exactly what hey should’ve done from the start. It’s just gonna suck when Wrestlemania ends up on ESPN+ and you not only have to sign up for ESPN but then also pay $65 for the PPV

If the big events do become actual PPVs again, then I probably will only watch ones where I get together with friends and split the cost. No way I'm dropping something like $65 on anything main roster.

I did a month of the network for the Rumble and it says I can get my free month today. I'm not sure if I just got it for free free or if I'm going to get caught paying somhow at the start of the month.

can't be made fun of Prestigious

i am never paying more than 10 a month for wwe ppvs for as long as i live. if they keep their current model they'll prob have me as a Network sub for life but even a little more and im gone. meanwhile i will keep buying every AEW ppv at full price as long as they stay at four a year. i torrent Dynamite every week due to not having a TV provider so it's literally the least i can do, and if for ~250 a year im getting the complete run of content for a product im actually invested in im happy with that.

I can’t see myself paying for a “ppv” because of the network. It’s even affected my view on paying for other events from other companies like UFC, AEW etc. and there’s probably many others that feel like me. They opened that box and now you can’t just put everything back in. Now I would be willing to pay a little more for the subscription but not in the way ESPN+ handles it.

Or they just sell Fox wrestlemania and they host it on cable just like they do the Super Bowl lol

    AEW: 928,000 (.36/11th)
    NXT: 770,000 (.22/34th)

That's with Charlotte announced for NXT.

i love NXT but it will always feel better to see the non-WWE product win. its tremendous that they've kept this up without relying on pre and post PPV shows to spike interest

to be clear i know that NXT doesnt either just insane to me they hit the ground running with a habitual viewership without relying on instant gratification

    No Fun. Not Ever.

I can't remember the last time I paid to watch wrestling on TV. Taima and torrents are a godsend to me.

  23. exactly what I said would happen - so they sacrificed good booking and still lost in the ratings lol
