I mean I am inclined to believe this is 90% incompetence but there's definitely some very very wacky shit going on lol

Nothing stinks. Pete and his team were smart enough to give a strong victory speech because they knew they over performed and are gonna be declared winners by the media anyway. A delayed reporting of the results only makes that strategy work more.

Or he paid off the app developer to write some code into the app so that he gets more delegates and figured no one would ever figure that out despite there being a huge paper trail this year.

 

ok but why did his campaign give money to the developer? this is a question without implications - seriously, what the fuck is up with that? how is that justifiable in any world?

I guess one way to look at this is a bunch of older voters that used to caucus with Dems were racist enough to become Trump fans and don’t caucus with Dems anymore. Would explain the 10% jump for voters under 45%

 

The most likely explanation is they probably consulted with them on cyber security for their own campaign

There’s a paper trail. The state is counting hand written caucus forms (for the first time ever, IIRC). You’re going to get accurate results (outside of human counting error), so literally, the app numbers won’t even matter now. They’re not being used for official results.
