5 viable in this Cedar Rapids one. Pete/Warren/Bernie/Klob/Biden in that order after first alignment.

Starting the second alignment now. Nobody understands the new rules they implemented for the second alignment this year. Pure chaos. Everyone is mad and confused and it’s a million degrees in this room. I feel my sanity slipping. Maybe democracy was a mistake.

  4. Yep, I think this hurts Biden the most.

Biden and Pete both thinking they have a chance continuing to split the moderate vote is a good thing, no?

I was told the DNC was not trying to rig it and all the signs were pure fantasy tho

Most of the rule changes were in response to what Bernie/left wingers wanted

Iowa is a stupid place to start all of this

  14. They’re super stupid for so many reasons.

The change is actually intended to leave a paper trail so there’s more accountability but the process is just so insanely fucked to begin with that any change just complicates it more

Sure. But he can still peel enough of the cord away from Biden to make it easier for Sanders to win

If I’m spinning this, in the event that Buttigieg does come out ahead of Sanders here, be ready with the narrative that he benefited from starting in one of the whitest states.

The first part is good, the second part is bad

Hope y'all get a good beer or something, after all of this

  21. A lot will depend on how he does in Iowa. It looks like all the top four are going to be strong enough to make it to Super Tuesday, at least.

  22. Interesting.

    Media won't care

Then when he rides the wave into a good performance in one of the other whitest states they still don't care

I watched one of the tally people count 29 for Warren, and then questioningly count “30...?” when pointing at someone he didn’t know if he’d already counted. Then, still with very little confidence, reported 30 lol
