The 15-year plays could be pretty interesting this year, what a stacked year 2005 was. Could be the year for a downcard Cartel or TAI reunion.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Maybe even a Volcano 15 year from Gatsbys...

Now that I’m thinking of possible album plays, how about AFI doing Art of Drowning? I feel like that could be a good enough match for MCR’s stage.

I wonder if Motion City would do a My Dino Life play. That’s something that wouldn’t make much sense as a tour but would work at Riot

I’m fully expecting this. Could do a set of that plus greatest hits

Would actually shit if Cartel played Chroma in full again. I'm so mad I skipped that tour in 2015.

Art Of Drowning would get me all sorts of stoked...

A Wilhelm Scream doing a Ruiner set or Alkaline Trio doing Crimson for each album's respective 15 year anniversaries would be delightful too. As would the already guessed Cavalcade set from the Flatliners.

An Instagram fan account for The Used posted a story saying that Bert said in their Denver show that they are going on tour with MCR in the fall.

Now I really hope to see The Used, Taking Back Sunday and MCR playing Riot Fest mainstage

I feel like Commit this to Memory is the more obvious play

I guess it is the 15 year for that but they toured it into the ground for the 10 year. Still you make a point. The Against Me! route from last year seems possible too, where they do different albums at an aftershow and at the fest. Idk if they’d do 2 each, but I could see CTTM at the fest and a Dino aftershow at the Metro.

How much do aftershow tickets tend to cost?

    Catching up on the thread...

Seeing that White Pony is 20 years old just makes me feel really fucking old.

One of my fav Riotfest traits is how they make each individual stage's line up of the day flow and feel like it's in of itself could be an awesome 5-6 band show, so imagining who they could put in front of MCR, and they could really pack that stage with a ton of awesome stuff, like people have mentioned -TBS, AFI, Alkaline trio, the used, Thursday, the only problem is all of those are such heavy hitters itd be a disservice to put any of them on pre-3PM so im sort of hoping for saturday they make Main stage and the stage next door to it one massive Ode to early '00s screamo/post hardcore. maybe toss in a Finch, thrice, and Every Time i die. great, now im building it up in my head too much, haha

Does anyone think that Riot Fest could potentially get The Ghost Inside this year?

Curious to see how Riot Fest passes sell after all of these My Chemical Romance shows inevitably sellout today. I'm assuming that has to be a back-up plan for some people...

I'm glad somebody elses notices and gets excited about that stuff! It's always fun/cool to pick up on that sort of thing, and in fact I looked at it last night. There's ~5-6 bands on each main stage per day. Here's a few combinations I'm hoping that we see this year (obviously, the headliners/subheadliners are TBA so these are just hopes on my part).

My Chemical Romance with Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, A.F.I., the Used

NOFX with Circle Jerks, Alkaline Trio, MxPx, Bad Cop/Bad Cop

No Doubt with Madness, Reel Big Fish, Dance Hall Crashers, the Suicide Machines, Big D and the Kids Table

These would all make sense and be really cool, IMHO.

Riotfest is going to sell out. Those my chem ticket prices are stupid. You could see an entire 3 day festival for that price

Most of them have or are close to selling out too.

I whipped this together in 30 seconds so may not be to well thought out, but something like this would floor me.

Maybe add some newer bands influenced by MCR like Creeper or New Years Day

That's fun. We took different approaches, haha. I would shift out Thrice for A.F.I., though if I'm being real about it...

The one I'm really hoping we get (and feels the most doubtful) is the No Doubt/Madness bit. That shit would be perfect. And actually, Madness is doing limited dates this spring. I could see them coming back for another short fall run.
