Vita failed because Sony gave up on it after a year outside of Japan lol

Plus those memory cards were fucking ridiculously priced, idk if that was a top reason for its failure though

Okay I need some guidance on Vita JRPGs I feel like I looked and couldn't really find any but it's probably a bunch of titles/franchises i've never heard of

Persona 4 obviously, trails of cold steel 1 and 2, tales of heart R, the YS games, disgaea games. There's a bunch of others. Plus most PSP games and a bunch of PS1 classics

PSP and Vita were both great pieces of hardware. But even still, after a while (but not too long a while) they both became glorified Lumines machines for me lol.

Lumines is the best puzzle game since Tetris, thank the gamer gods it's on Switch now

    yeah good okay Prestigious

I've only played the demo a little and haven't gone back to it. I'll give it a little more time this weekend. I'm not really into Metroidvanias tbh

Jeanne d'Arc and Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman are two PSP JRPGs that are on Vita that are worth looking at. ZHP is by the team who does Disgaea.

Also, maybe this will entice some people for ZHP:

You can also get Persona 1-4 on the Vita. Demon Gaze 1 & 2 are decent dungeon crawling typical JRPGs. I still think Freedom Wars was a really cool action JRPG set in a futuristic prison where you have to do missions to work off your sentence and buy privileges like being able to lie down in your cell or walk more than 30m without being chaperoned, etc. There's a bunch of Hyperdimension Neptunia games on there as well. You can also get Monster Monpiece which is a card based JRPG which...ahem...includes some "exciting" features:

Muramasa Rebirth is the remastered version of a fantastic Wii game developed by the studio who made the lovely Odin Sphere. Only on Vita. Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines is an incredibly unique and deep game that I really wish more people had the opportunity to experience. It would be a great port for Switch. Here's the rundown:

    Screenshot_20200131-122654_Chrome.jpg

Shiren The Wanderer: The Tower Of Fortune and the Dice of Fate is a really solid roguelike with a cool art style. Sorcery Saga: Curse Of The Great Curry God is another interesting roguelike where you make different types of curry and dishes to help your party, etc. Summon Night 6 is a very anime-like tactics based rpg. It's cute. Tales of Hearts R is available on Vita if you're into the Tales series. It's a decent entry.

Ys: Memories Of Celceta, Ys Origin and Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana are all released in NA for Vita and range from decent to very good.

There are more of course, including a ton of PSP and PSone games like Suikoden, but I tried to keep it mostly Vita.

If you want some juicy lewd games with anime girls, just let me know.

I definitely second Jeanne d'Arc. The Tactics Ogre port is also incredible.

@Joe4th until the games are announced they both are and are not Skate 4. That’s what we call Schrodinger’s Skate 4.

Sports-ass sports games are now too complicated for me but there was a sweet spot between realism and playability between like 02 and 05. FIFA was amazing then and I don’t even care about soccer. Same goes Tiger Woods PGA Tour.

Also NBA Jam is still amazing. The more recent NBA Playgrounds 2 is also a fun game.

Yeah FIFA was actually fun back then, I think FIFA 08 was the last one I really enjoyed. Also it had manager mode and I’m a sucker for a fun sim management game.
