Ironman times for the mens match are pretty wild:

• 34m 11s: Drew McIntyre
• 26m 23s: Brock Lesnar
• 23m 43s: Edge

 

My one hope for next year is that they stop doing the "on the outside" angles. Charlotte became a front runner the second they said "ohhh she only went through the middle ropes!" Just have the winner come out later if you don't want them winded.

 

Top 10 Rumble I reckon. I hated it when I was watching Brock go through everyone, but without him doing that, McIntyre’s pop for eliminating him and pop for winning would not as been anywhere near as good or satisfying. Women’s rumble would be better if Shayna won, but Charlotte is still one of the best wrestlers on the main roster. Fiend/Bryan was bloody great and the rest were all ok. Not anywhere near being a bad PPV.

 

Honestly, this my probably the best Rumble I've seen since I started watching back in 2016.

 

Both did fucking well too.

bein at work today on 4 hrs sleep is worth this past weekend...

worlds collide was damn near epic. there must have been a mic near my section since i can be heard chanting for finn during the 4 way cruiserweight match. it boggles my mind how many people were cheering finn in the opener. poor dragunov. womens match was short, but had to be. i don't think anyone was expecting the diy/mm match to get the reactions that it did. in my top 3 matches of the year so far. wolfe might be allergic to houston or somethin. two in a row that he gets fucked up by undisputed era. might have been fish's kick to wolfe's chin that knocked him out. WALTER IS OVER.

rumble layout was a bit weird. the juicebox was hella dusty since it hadn't been kept up since the world series and they're doin construction for new restaurants in there. i think wwe did a good job of bookin a face roman that people could cheer for in this match. me thinks the bayley/lacey match was short for 2 reasons: bayley as a heel just isn't workin, and that womens rumble match exceeded alot of expectations. dare i say better than some of the men rumble matches of the past 5 or so years. what's next for bryan? what's next for asuka??

that mens rumble match, tho... one of the best in the past 5 or so years. remember guys/girls: brock has and always been set us as a prize mma fighter. most of his single matches are under ten minutes, and no one got pinned in this match. so the fact that people are screaming bloody murder, or BURIAL need to pay more attention.... or a clearer picture. remember that wwe isn't for us - it's for vince mcmahon. all these nuts expectation for punk or velasquez or for brock to be out in 5 minutes is unrealistic. we are owed nothing. so i appreciated all the moments lesnar gave us: some spots with former iwgp champ nakamura, his alex wright impression with mvp's music, actual offense from kofi, keith mutha fuckin lee!!!! putting over drew, and drew still staring over brock after every few moments. some of the other surprised sprinkled through the second half of that rumble were great too. love how wwe's using roman to pull the strings of emotions on all the fans that hate him. vince can be the master of puppets sometimes. between drew eliminating brock and roman, he's become a credible threat to beat lesnar at mania. will he tho? i think not. the next person to beat him should be the mitb briefcase winner. surprise him. he kills everyone he sees comin. as far as charlotte: i see her goin to smackdown. somehow, shayna wins the womens title at chamber and charlotte challenges her at mania.

overall: another awesome weekend of live wwe product. at a time where the business is on the come up if you're a fan of all brands of wrestling, what more can you ask for?

If this is the outcome, in the end, then this will somehow be even worse than the Roman and Seth builds to take the title off him, because we're talking a 3 year period where nobody outside of Brock, Roman, and Seth have held the title, and everyone who challenged for the belt in the meantime is worse off after it. Meaning Drew will lose all his momentum and be right back where he was post-Dolph, and nobody will be anywhere near built to tackle Lesnar.

There's been 1030 days since WM34...Brock Lesnar has been a champion for 803 of those days. Nearly half of that whole span (504 days) was his reign until Roman finally beat him. For all that, we got 20 matches on TV or PPV.

Braun Strowman's done. Kofi's run, wiped out. Finn Balor isnt even main roster anymore. Seth's feud dragged on so long they had to turn him heel. I literally cant think of a positive long-term thing thats happened in those 1000 days related to Brock. And we got like, 3 good matches out of it.

 

anyway, Dan said he was going to nut through his tv last night and we just all ignored it like it didn’t cause severe emotional distress

Alright watched entire rumble this morning.

Thought the ppv was very good A- status

Corbin vs reigns = B. Is what it is but thought it was a decent brawl

Womens rumble = B. Thought this was better than last year. Smooth. Good moments. Bianca got put over hard. Terrible winner though. Terrible. Iconics injured?

Bayley vs Lacey = C+. Acceptable. Dont think face Lacey is gonna work.

Fiend vs bryan = C+. Didnt click for me. It was fine but thought strap match was unnecessary.

Becky vs asuka = A-. Loved the match. Didnt need the becky cant continue part

Men's rumble = A. Excellent. Very excellent. I loved the lesnar first hal . Edge. Surprising winner...although once lesnar was gone there was really only 2 people who could win.
