Same with the UK. I remember there was this cornershop near me. Since I was 14 I used to buy booze from there. On my 19th birthday the owner and I were chatting and I was like ‘ahhh. I’ve been coming here for years!’

He looked at me and suddenly went pale like ‘...but you were of age yeah?’

 

Technically it's up to the state to set the legal drinking age, but the federal government would withhold finding for public works if they set it below 21

thanks. i just want to find a job I can tolerate. mine is "fine" but i just dont feel happy. i want to find something that might get me that.

And i feel like such an asshole (in the sense that others would kill just to feel this way I guess) looking for another job given mine is decent and has good benefits, I just have no enthusiasm for it and want to feel engaged.
