I was skeptical, but I'm a believer now.

Give it a shot. They're grouped thematically according to the band but I think it makes more sense sonically too.

What is the vinyl track listing?

The digital album's flow does not bother me in the slightest. May give the vinyl order a try, but I'm not sure I care enough to try haha

+1 for the vinyl tracklisting. I like the flow better. Each grouping makes sense together.

Yeah I'd like to know the vinyl track listing too so I can try it out.

There's definitely some things I like about it but overall I think I prefer the original. Honestly I wish they'd just have had me make the tracklisting.

This is going to sound weird, but the vinyl track listing sounds so good it might have bumped Air For Free up in their discography for me. It makes so much more sense and I really didn't have much of a problem with the track listing to begin with.

"Local Construction" as an opener, "Elephant Parade" preceding "Man", and "Flower" being the penultimate track are probably my favorite changes. But the whole thing really does flow better.

these were my favourites too but I really don't like having "Marigold" so early on and hate having "Prodigal" before "Empty House". Also "Bummin'" after "Local Construction" feels really weird to me and having "Runnin'", "Mrs Hippo" and "Cat", three of my least favourites, in a row at the beginning isn't great. The ending is way better though, I love having those five tracks finish the album.

I'm leaning towards the standard track listing but I think both could be improved.

Why does Matt sing so much lower now anyways? I have no background on that.

I also wish the vocals were up in the mix more on a few tracks. The "nothing but the sun in your eyes" part could sound even bigger if they had layered a few harmonies onto it in the second refrain.

    I do not exist.

I quite like Bummin' as the opener actually.

I can't stop listening to "God", "Mountaintop", and "Air for Free". So happy with this album. I don't think there are really any songs I don't like so far and everything is fairly catchy. "Mrs. Hippopotamuses'" is fairly nostalgic for me as well, but I can see it being a wtf for people who aren't from Ohio.

It just makes me so happy to have more music from Matt.

I feel like since I first heard this album, I've almost constantly had one of the songs stuck in my head. Love it.

"We have determined that the defective issues discovered with the original Air For Free vinyl pressing will require a re-pressing of both discs. There where issues with the lacquer cutting that ultimately caused sub-par audio quality.

We want this to be made right so we will be sending you a new re-pressed copy of AFF vinyl at no additional cost to you. The lacquers have already been re-cut and we hope to know when the re-pressing will be added in to production schedule very soon. Obviously, the vinyl manufacturing processes is a very particular process and can not be rushed - this will take weeks (not days).

We will update you with an estimated ship date when we have firm manufacturing dates from our manufacture.

Again, thanks for your patience and your patronage.

    Sincerely,
    SMLXL Vinyl"

So this was in my email. Bummer that we probably have to wait a month or two for it, but glad they're making it right.

Came here to post this. May grab Two Lefts since I believe I'm still missing it.

Is everyone who ordered the vinyl getting a new copy or is it just people who emailed SMLXL with issues about their vinyl?

Also, sounds like the white version just went out of print, so to speak. Their website says they aren't shipping them out anymore..wonder if the repress will be white or a new color.

I haven't listened to an album this much in this short amount of time since Ixora by Copeland.

That's some high praise. I don't think I disagree, but high praise nonetheless. I didn't realize that I've basically done the same.

    Newbie

Am I crazy or are there two different versions of Runnin'? One that stops twice in the middle of the song (from the Pandora stream), and a nonstop continuous song on the official download and the vinyl... I love the little guitar scratches coming back after the first stop on the stream version! Wish they kept it on the album. The stops work well.

Either way, A+++, one of the most thoughtful and original albums I've heard in a long time.
