EDIT: Damn. Looks like just the one on her webstore, which is sold out. Everywhere seems to list the regular vinyl as the full track list too.

 

Forever... is really just a Fever You Can't Sweat Out song when you think about it

The shift from major key to minor key on “forever” rules so fucking hard

 

stuck between my teeth like a candy bar is the kind of lyric that only someone as cool as Halsey can get away with haha

I love how personal this is and it seems like she's in a good place

 

So I heard a rumor that she had originally submitted the album sans “Without Me” and with “Nightmare” and the label was pretty much like “lol nah do more like WM it is a huge hit” and I’m wondering if the voicemail bit is a tiny tongue in cheek rebellion against having to do that. (If the rumor is true)

 

I definitely get a vibe from that bit of like.. on the surface it's a compliment, but it's kind of a backhanded compliment. "Oh your big hit is your best song, you don't really have anything else as good."

I buy that rumor especially because it seemed like the album was coming pretty quick after Nightmare and then obviously did not.

Celebrity gossip is an unfortunate hobby of mine that I find endlessly fascinating. I frequent a lot of anonymous chat and gossip boards, blind item sites, etc.

Lyrically or musically? The second verse melody sounded familiar, but I'm not familiar enough with their discography to know what to listen for.

I like this a lot. I have never listened to any of her earlier stuff going to give it a shot next, but this album is great.

 

The bonus track "I'm Not Mad" is absolute fire, y'all need to check it out.

 

I'm Not Mad is a cool tune.

Also, she references Brand New on that song as well, with the lyric "I've got a 20 dollar bill that says that you're never, ever, ever gonna change."

 

Yeah could easily take I'm not mad over a couple that made it

 

Sounds similar but not a direct sample in my opinion. It's pretty basic drum pattern.

EDIT: Credits list it as sampled so guess I'm wrong. That's a shame.

Have a strong feeling that she doesn’t know since she is an outspoken advocate for women, so maybe someone should clue her in.
