I saw Lighthouse get a nod for cinematography I think. But that was about all the horror representation there is this year.

After Toni getting snubbed with Hereditary, I have no faith in an actress ever catching a nomination for their genre work. Especially a relative newcomer like Pugh is.

Haven’t seen Little Women, but happy for her nom... portraying a grief stricken person in Midsommar is worth all the accolades

I completely forgot she got a nomination for supporting actress in that movie. Hope she gets it then as she has shown she has a body of great work this year.

Watched the first episode of The Outsider on HBO last night. I had previously read the book so I was pumped when I saw the trailer and they started off strong. Casting Jason Bateman in the role they did is so perfect too. Hopefully the whole thing delivers.

Watched the first two episodes last night. I’m pretty excited for it. Has a True Detective vibe with a touch of the supernatural. I’m curious how it’ll go, I trust HBO to keep it good. But I’m worried it’ll dive too far off the deep end and make it a little ridiculous. It’s a struggle not to read the synopsis of the book and see where things go haha

Yeah it definitely reminds me of True Detective s1 and Mindhunter. Bateman directed the first two episodes and it makes me wanna go thru Ozark tbh

Please report back! I’m curious about this. The movie has been getting quite good reviews I believe

I used to have Shudder on the VRV app on my Roku, but now it’s no longer listed. I added Shudder but says I don’t have an account. Did it separate from VRV?

Underwater was boring tbh. Not good but not terrible enough to be like you gotta see this shit. There’s like a handful of kinda neat story ideas that could have made for an awesome movie I think. Oh well.

It looks like Shudder was removed from the VRV platform earlier this year.

Is Underwater better than The Grudge, at least? I have A-List and I'm wondering if it's even worth my time.

An Alien ripoff starring T.J. Miller couldn’t be any less appealing, but it’s a shame so many people I like are also in it.

I didn't think Underwater was that bad. Kinda fun, definitely better than the grudge

Watching A Tale of Two Sisters as my last hurrah before my free Shudder runs out so I can end on a high note. I might get it for a month or two again down the road but it hasn’t become a must have always like I expected.

  22. I still don't think this needed a sequel.
