Plus it’s not like AEW or anyone else for that matter wouldn’t immediately take him if it doesn’t work out. But yeah, I was never able to get into ROH in the last few years and seems even less likely now. Unless he really turns things around

 

I think the problem with aew is there are no midcard wrestlers. Every major wrestler they have is an upper card guy or is being booked like one. It's just tag teams and everyone else for the most part, not enough differentiation.

He's in a tag team now, I think? They've changed him around like 5x lol

I think there’s almost too many tag team matches and multi man matches. I know that was going to be a whole focus on the tag division but the problem is they all seem to be booked 50-50. Except for TH2 who seem to only wrestle on Dark and never win a match.

 

But the real question is do we get a Big Show heel turn tonight? There’s still plenty of time to turn him back and forth before his Netflix show.

I know I said this when it was announced but what the hell to him having a Netflix sitcom in character. How is something like that not made for the network.

 

I would watch The Big Show in an Uncle Phil role in a Fresh Prince style show lol

 

I actually am interested in checking out the show because he’s a very entertaining dude. It’s just weird to me it sounds like the kind of thing that would be created for the network. But good for him that he got it on Netflix. More people will see it that way

yeah idk why AEW doesnt have a midcard title. thought the diamond ring would be a first step in that direction but doesnt seem so. they need to get Darby in an actual program

what a weekend!..

went to mlw tapings saturday. fuck metal bleachers. 4.5 hours of matches minus the 20-25 minutes it took to 1) remove the ropes for the shoot fight between smith jr and gotch, and then 2) to add the barbed wire ropes for the warner/havoc match. damn near every match had some kind of noticeable botch, including poor aerostar getting his ankle tied up in the ropes during a springboard of sorts. but it was refreshing to see some talent that was new to me, yet had recognizable name value, and new people i've yet to know. richard holliday has the potential to be the successor to mjf as a heel, better off for him that they're in the same stable, so he can learn. pillman jr and the von erich boys are damn good too. i can see myself getting into the injustice group, but damn... the first kid that tom lawlor enlists for his team filthy stable needs aloooot of work.

sunday felt alot more recognizable to me. bomb factory seems above capacity, to the point that extra chairs were added on the floor to ease the congestion of the standing room only area. few storylines i could invest in easily due to the story (ace hitting on trey's mom), and repackaged characters got my attention too (macho moose, super chill rvd). several spots were hard to see since the hard cam was opposite the entrance and the wrestlers had to perform at that angle compared to sitting on either other side of the ring. there were a few detractors to tessa's win, but the reaction was mostly positive. the promo after... oof! that was a bit rough. overall that was one of the better impact/tna ppv's i've attended.

now, back at work after a 4 hour drive and only 4 hours of sleep... hopefully i'll catch nxt uk tonight before an early bedtime.
