Yeah Flowers I don’t think he could do, although a huge part of how I was able to get him to try Fleabag was because he adores Olivia Colman. Now he’s on the Phoebe train too.

It’s always baby steps with him. I’ve had to unpack a lot of the toxic ideas he’s shared in my life and do everything I can to try to get him to work through them now. Reconciling that against the parts of him that are so good is quite a task, and his love of film and TV has been a surprising ally for me.

I applaud your efforts to work on your dad and his toxic opinions--that shit can't be easy. The closest I have to that is my grandfather and being poisoned by Fox News. But unlike you, I just tell him he's misinterpreting things and change the subject quickly.

I mean this is damning with faint praise but I will take it! The first episode is by far the weakest of the entire show. As the story unfurls and they get into deeper stuff it’s incredible. I’d say it took until maybe the middle of episode two to hook me the first time.

And once you get to season two that’s truly flawless. Textbook way to tell a tight story, and one of the best examples of a one-off coming back due to popularity and topping itself in all of TV.

i love the first season (i find PWB nearly irresistible no matter the material) but S2 doubles down on stronger versions of the things that worked well in the first season the relationships with the sister and Godmother while telling a much more compelling and cohesive overarching story, it's sublime.

i would also die for andrew scott.
