The most important civil liberty to libertarians is that they believe the government should do absolutely zero to regulate the ‘free market’ even in the event where entire industries get as incestuous as they possibly could be or if they trample on human or environmental rights. In practice it just plays out like yet even more extreme unchecked capitalism and its not realistic.

In recent years weve had some people take these ideas and run with them and worked to sit people with private sector interests in regulative chairs of the very industrys they have interests in to actively write laws in their interest’s favor. Imo its how weve got nightmare people like Betsy DeVos in our government.
