I don't understand the "well, what would stop you from doing anything different?" argument... I'm like, uh, a conscience? I can't imagine myself ever doing anything like that and I find it perplexing that this person sees no problem with it.

So I have always had an okcupid account (my boyfriend and I explored the idea of an open relationship at one point) I just never used it. Well this week I figured screw it it couldn't hurt to actually look at the messages I'm getting. I responded to someone who seemed nice and fun. Then he says "what's that outfit in the second picture? I like it. Wear that when we meet"
Ughhh now I remember why I am not interested in re entering the dating pool

 

It's not for the faint hearted a lot of the time....

My current conundrum seems to keep veering wildly between very comfortable with me and very skittish. I have absolutely no idea what to expect at any given time.

No you're not. 5 years is a fucking long time. You're allowed to make mistakes. It's easy to say don't be so hard on yourself but I know you will be anyway. Hopefully things will get easier but you've always got us to talk to.

Did a really stupid thing and creeped on my ex's Facebook yesterday. She's dating a guy who I'm all but certain she was seeing at the tail end of our relationship or immediately after. Seeing evidence of her having so clearly moved on while I'm still stuck trying to get used to a life without her is crushing me.
