Hey man, we all can't be like you Supporter

I was about to argue this point until I realized one important thing.

    ...you're right.

I like when BN gets weird, it's my favorite kind of BN.

    IAAN is not weird.

Yep same. Some days I enjoy the heavier darker Daisy style other days I enjoy the emo moody Deja style

I don't care for Deja any more. Daisy all the way for me, with Devil & God a very, very close second.

Still can't get into "I Am a Nightmare" I really hope the new album won't be like that

It's the album talking to us, "I AM A NIGHTMARE!"

    How meta.

"I Am A Nightmare" is fine, it's just not all that memorable. It does seem weirdly safe for this band though, considering all their albums have seem to have a conscious change of direction compared to the last one.

You wait til we're on here discussing the next Limousine. I can't see them releasing anything more like IAAN on the new one, without it being like a regression to a modern YFW. I've got faith in this album.

I've been so busy with work and finally listened to the 3 reworked songs. Really love it. Missing You has to be my favorite.

I hardly ever listen to Brand New to be honest. However, their impeding break up (??? Who knows with this band) has interested me in their music way more. I get crazy Morrissey vibes from Jesse's vocals on 1996. This new LP might switch my mood on this band as a whole.

@Jose The fan title for the demo of 1996 was "Morrissey" because of that haha.

Wow that's really interesting. I double checked to make sure I wasn't playing some wild Morrissey solo B-side or something beforehand.

Pretty sure Jason said Iaan was the least favorite out of the stuff he has... We will see, still don't understand why people hate it, I feel like a lot of bands would love to have a song that catchy

I don't hate it, it's just very, very mediocre, there's nothing cool about it or different or something that makes it stand out, it's just there and even what's there is meh.

I love IAAN. It goes great with the 6 other songs on my makeshift LP5.

I didn't like IAAN when it first came out either, but I just kept listening to it, and my tune has completely changed. It also really helped that I saw it live, and I think seeing that really helped me get into it.

Seeing it live killed it for me. At the SLC date they didn't seem terribly into it

Name the last 5 power pop songs you've heard. You can't, because no one is making that music anymore, which is (partially) why IAAN effing rules. Plus it's a damn catchy son on it's own.

There are a lot of bands still making power pop. Weezer, for one. I mean, The White Album is one of the best power-pop albums of the last few years, in my opinion. Have you heard "King of the World" or "California Kids" yet?

By the way, I love "I Am A Nigthmare."
