Agreed, after how great BNE was the S/T was def a let down. With all the Paramore talk I'm suprised no one mentioned Let the Flames Begin, which not only one of their best songs but their absolute best song live. That extended intro and outro are unbelievable.

I miss them so much.

Are you talking about the movies and skits they do? Because if so I agree!

Nah. There's a fair amount of hardcore, metal, and metalcore that sounds worse and requires even less skill to play.

 

It's silly to say there's a lowest form of music in the first place. All genres can be, and are, done both well and badly.

Ed Sheeran is the devil incarnate.

 

I can't stand Ed Sheeran and I hate how his songs are so stupidly signature that whenever he writes a song for someone else you can tell a mile away so even when he's not the one singing it his reign of terror lives on. He wrote all the worst 1D lyrics and that's saying something lol

 

Lol I was just saying like a half hour ago that the new bIeber and major lazer single has his stink all over it

 

Ed Sheeran is such a nice guy tho.

I always laugh at the polo song when my girlfriend's playing that album. First time I heard it I said it sounded like a dumb Ed Sheeran song, haha.

As much as I hate ICP's music, Gathering of the Juggalos seems like it'd be fun as fuck to go to.

 

I am envious of how much their fans love them, wish I could be that passionate

 

That would definitely be an experience. I think I would be scared to go because I would stick out so badly.

 

Why be scared? Most Juggalos are the kind of people that as long as you respect their weirdness they'll respect you back and leave you alone. Despite their questionable tastes i've always had a respect for them as a subculture. Never met a Juggalo that wasn't friendly.

Here is a pretty good (NSFW) doc about the Gathering that tries to uncover the misconception and stereotypes about Juggalos. The Gathering really just seems like Bonaroo if you stripped away the pretentiousness and faux intellectualism.

 

Slightly related to the topic of types of music being "lower", I'm of the opinion that simplicity and lack of quality do not by any means go hand in hand. Some of the most universally beloved artists made some of the most simplistic material yet it all still holds up decades later. And on the flip side, making something too complex can drift a bit much into the realm of "wank" for some people (even though I personally hate that term to high hell, but it's something that's worth mentioning as well).

 

That Ed Sheeran song about Ellie was gross. I haven't listened to anything else by him. He seems like a douchebag.

 

Ed is the Nice Guy and Taylor is the Nice Girl. Their friendship makes so much sense.
