The critical difference between Republicans and Democrats that explains the presidential campaign

 

Just watched May's first question time and I can say already her claim that she will unite the country is nonsense.

She completely ignored a question regarding the language Boris Johnson used in regards to black people and his questioning of Obamas motives during the referendum because his heritage.

She seemed generally evasive on all questions from Corbyn.

She was reluctant on the question regarding easing SATs exam that are causing many 10 and 11 years old great stress.

She showed a level of disdain towards the north in another question regarding schools.

She continuesly stated that Britain was open for business. A very naive statement considering she also stated commitment to lowering immigration to around a quarter of its current level. That also contradicts her claim that there will be opportunities for young people in Europe and beyond in a post Brexit world.

The only encouraging answers were regarding child sexual exploitation and violence and domestic violence.

Not the best of starts in my opinion.

The Young Turks made a pretty good comparison that Ivana Trump is pretty much like Margaery Tyrell from Game of Thrones, in that she's very likable, smooth, and well put together public persona, but at the same time comes across completely disingenuous. She has the royal princess aura down in how she carries herself.

Honestly, I've never been sure why Donald infuriates me so much less than standard Republicans, such as the woman on the previous page. And I think it's because he really does give off the vibe of being truly crazy and self-unaware. It's much easier for me to believe that Trump believes some of the Republican lies (being for "raising your wages," etc.) than other ones.
