Lived on the stuff when I travelled around California for a few months when I was 18. The Silverado Beef one or Dynamite Hot one.

Here it's pretty much Hormel or Wolf. I guess I'd say Hormel if I had to pick

Wolf brand all the way, no beans of course!

Is pour-over decent? Not sure if I should invest in a coffee making lab.

If you're looking to follow through on it, look into getting a Chemex, I love mine.

My buddy brought his over but it took like 25 minutes to make me a cup of coffee.

I'm definitely interested though because it was some damn good coffee.

Yeah I mean it all depends on the water to bean ratio and how finely you grind them. There are some good tutorials that clock brewing to ~4 minutes, It doesn't usually take me longer than like 15 minutes with water boiling time included I'd say.

Either way, I definitely enjoy the whole process of it all, but yeah it can suck if you're in any kind of a hurry.

I personally think the Aeropress makes a better, and faster, cup. But some prefer the Chemex, and if you're gonna go that route that's the one to do.

There's a bistro around the corner that we order lunch from sometimes. It's really, really good but some of the prices are absurd. BLT and chips were $14. They might bankrupt me.

Agreed. I keep mine at work, makes one of the most consistently good Americanos I've had

My dad swears by his. I should consider getting one. I just have a really shitty drip coffee maker.

  13. I love the consistency as well. Easy to make sure it's great everyday by following the same steps.

  14. Yeah I love it. It can make a great cup with great beans. And I get a little obsessive about it, but it's how I've been drinking coffee for years now. Big fan.

  15. The other thing I totally recommend with an Aeropress, or just to have a round the kitchen, is a simple basic scale. Measuring beans by weight is much more consistent than by volume.

I love coffee and have never heard of an Aeropress until right now.

I wish I could do that. My pulse runs really high and I'm not supposed to have caffeine and I'll stop drinking coke for a little bit and then go right back to it.

I try not to drink too much soda but i'm a sucker for coffee. Like i'll only drink MAYBE 3 sodas a week, if that.
