I wanted to love this movie so badly. I love TFA and TLJ. Keep these trash thoughts to yourself.

This movie was basically the “Spider-Man 3” of Star Wars

Man I made the mistake of reading comments on a IGN twitter post about this being the least audience approved SW movie of the new trilogy.

So is the fan reaction that this was good? All over this IGN post people are saying they loved it, and RJ pushed JJ into a corner lol

  14. I'm seeing lots of "the prequels were much better than the sequels, RJ/JJ/KK/Disney ruined Star Wars" on social media. Ready to turn off my Facebook notifications for the next few weeks.

This is better than the prequels.

I’ve seen a lot of positivity towards this film in Facebook and other sites. Almost every person I know that watched it and wasn’t big on Star Wars said they really enjoyed it. Most of who I know that likes TLJ ended up not enjoying this one as much. Out of my friend circles all but 1 liked this movie a lot.

This movie’s whole existence has legitimately retroactively made me like Solo (already a bottom 3 Star Wars for me) & The Force Awakens less. And, appreciate the original trilogy & The Last Jedi more. And, also, the raw, misguided, unhindered, poorly written & directed & acted “I may have gone too far in a few places” id of The Phantom Menace more. I dunno. This whole Disney era, if nothing else, has really brought into focus what Star Wars, in its purest form, does for me & means to me.

Barely any other action has consequences in this movie. Surely getting shot wouldn’t.

The more I think about this, the more I legitimately hate it. It’s really bad. I honestly think I prefer RotS to it.

Sorry if this was already answered in this thread but when was this line used? I missed it in the theatre and that alone makes an already bad movie worse.

I saw this a few days ago, but never posted about it, basically cause I agree with most of what been/being said.

Wish we would’ve gotten more Zorii. I thought it was really funny at the end when Poe gives her that look and she just nods No.

Hated the fake out of Chewy’s death. Not a fan of the overuse of force healing. And if that exists, couldn’t have Obi Wan easily have healed Qui Gon?

Really liked that they said Finn is force sensitive. Ever since the first teaser of TFA, I wanted him to be a Jedi so bad and was disappointed at how his character was handled.

I still don’t think Rose is a good character and she’s definitely weirdly overrated amongst her avid supporters

and yeah, this movie made me appreciate TLJ more. I wasn’t a TLJ hater, but I was pretty unsatisfied with it as well as a bit underwhelmed. Like there was a lot going on, but little getting accomplished to move the overall story along.

i really think J.J. dropped the ball by not putting Luke in TFA. I think if he had a bigger part in TFA, there wouldn’t have been such a backlash to How TLJ handled him and therefore we wouldn’t have gotten what we got with TROS
