The adventure feeling of this movie is so good. It definitely has the spirit of Star Wars above a muddy script. All the scenes at the Resistance base were great and they finally felt like one big family. Rose added a good touch to the scenes she appeared in.

Ohhhhhhh that makes so much more sense. Thanks guys.

Also, what do you think Finn wanted to tell Rey the whole movie but never got the chance? That he is also force sensitive?

Read the plot and it's very underwhelming imo. Should be fun to watch though from what I've been reading. But not where I was hoping this would finish off

didn't hate this but that could be low expectations going in. i'm almost positive i'm gonna find more faults with another watch or even just a day or so to further mull this over

Looks like this is another film that the critics are mixed on but a lot of fans liked. 88% user rating on RT

I was expecting the opposite for the user rating. Was waiting for the incels to just go in and balls it up due to outrage.

I didn’t realize that I had specific desires for this movie until I saw it and it didn’t have them, lol.

I guess if I had been pressed to give an answer for what I wanted I would have said a culmination of the idea of getting rid of the binary good/evil Jedi/Sith dynamic and having something new for the future. The way Rey and Ben both had light and dark in them and how Luke spoke of the force not belonging to a select few and heroes just being people and not mythical beings and everything along with that was so powerful to me, and this was very back to basics good and evil.

Obviously there’s no way to keep peace for all eternity or claim that in an ending, but I thought we would see the world shaken up a lot more to signify that this chapter is truly over.

I really loved this. Definitely fast paced, but I kind of like the urgency. Tying up nine films is no easy task and I feel like given the circumstances (Carrie’s death) JJ really did do the best he could. I also feel like a lot of scenes were cut or made shorter. This would benefit from a longer cut. Where was 3P0 with Chewie’s crossbow?

    How about that Tenet prologue

I would also like to see a longer cut. Maybe in a massive 4K Skywalker set for $500. Fml

The fan event I went to didn’t have it. All of the trailers were super meh to me, except I guess Onward which I had no idea was a Weekend at Bernie’s quest movie.

That thing hiked my anxiety through the roof. Luckily the trailer for Mulan followed and brought it back down.

It was only in IMAX screenings, I’m pretty sure

Hux - Lol. A character that ended up meaning nothing. Why not just introduce the rogue stormtroopers as the moles so we at least have a chance at liking them before they’re whisked away to battle?

I get that, but the poster and such showed him equipped with it like he was going to go into battle.

I called Rey being a Palpatine right after I saw TFA.

    J.J. is that you?

Just kidding, but I always thought she was a Kenobi. Don't know how that would've worked, but that was my want for this trilogy. Happy with her being a Palp though.

My feelings coming out of TFA was Skywalker. Eventually I was right, just not the way I thought.

I just had a feeling. It’s always been there. I can’t explain it.

You weren’t alone in thinking that. Though I wonder if JJ had that thought then.
