Dang The Word Alive keeps getting booked to be the first or second band playing on a tour when they used to headline the same venues. I don't listen to them anymore but that's a bummer.

 

It's what happens when you alienate such a large portion of your fanbase and have more than one drastic sound change.

 

This would be cool, seeing an iconic scene record like this played in full, just... by literally any other band.

Let's Cheers To This by Sleeping With Sirens? Collide With The Sky by Pierce The Veil? Homesick by ADTR? Sempiternal by BMTH?

Jeez, literally anything, I just don't want to chose between getting my 2010's emo nostaligia fix, and supporting an abusive, homophobic vulgarian.

 

They definitely never headlined big venues

 

Does Escape the Fate have any original members anymore? What a weird little part of that scene.

 

I think their drummer is the only original member.

 

Because JJR is an extremely well liked and connected person in that scene and there is a very small chance that reel big fish knows about why people don’t like him and if they do there’s a smaller chance that they care because at this point, pretty much no one outside of this site does

 

BMTH and ADTR will never happen. BMTH because they're just so far removed from that sound by this point (as much as I'd love it). Which is strange to say for a record that released only 6 years ago. ADTR just because they're too big to need to do that. PTV or SWS I could see do it.

 

I feel like Sleep On It offering VIP (that is $50!) is a bit much. I mean...this is their first headlining tour and they aren’t some massive band who people won’t be able to meet after the show or even before. I guess when you add all they are offering up it comes to $50 or more, but still.

 

Not big venues but TWA has headlined some of the same venues this tour and their last tour (W/ ISS and OLN) has hit. It's not surprisingly at all though.

 

it includes the ticket though so it’s well worth it.

I’m surprised we didn’t get at least a small handful of Homesick anniversary sets this year. I for sure thought that would happen

 

i do like that the FIR/ETF/TWA tour is a weird mix of shared/former members, if only blessthefall was also on

 

yeah that would take it from "arguably the worst tour bill i've ever seen" to "definitely the worst tour bill i've ever seen"

 

yeah let me just add an editor's note and say All Those Bands Are Bad and Ronnie Radke Is a Piece of Shit

 

This tour line-up is ridiculously great from top to bottom.

 

Openers will be announced January 10th, which is also when tickets go on sale. Not sure why they are staggering releasing both.
