Yeah, honestly, between the Rogue One fans (like me), the Solo fans (in spite of its issues), & the shockingly passionate Mandalorian love, I don’t think Star Wars has anything to worry about. Nothing will compare to the lightning in a bottle excitement leading up to TFA for very specific reasons, but I could see some big spinoff franchise down the road.

Aren't they working on a whole new series right now?

I’m honestly surprised they haven’t updated the cgi, especially in the A New Hope special edition. They’ve already changed so much, might as well go back in and clean it up

The CGI that was added in OT and the existing CGI in the prequels is not great. Not sure how they could even remotely make it better outside of removing it altogether.

That single shot of the blaster bolts and clones in the dust storm is pretty cool.

    but that’s about it.

The way the camera pans up to the planet instead of down after the opening crawl is neat. Actually, the entire opening with the spaceship landing on Coruscant is pretty great.

It is all downhill from there.

I still think AOTC is better than ROTS, even if only barely.

The worst looking scene in my opinion is Jabba outside the falcon in A New Hope.

Jabba outside The Falcon is pretty damn bad, but the CGI in this scene always bothers me more:

Especially when the furry one sings really loud right in front of the camera.

After watching Revenge of the Sith recently, I can’t help but imagine how much better it would be if Palpatine in Episode III just looked slightly older than he did in Episode II, was never melted by his own lightning, and next time you see him would be as he is in ROTJ.

  21. I imagine anything new will still have callbacks/references to the Skywalker sage here and there to keep all of us curious and coming for more.

I really never knew the consensus was that AOTC was the worst of the prequels. I think if you asked me before I would have probably guessed Phantom Menace because of how bad Jar Jar is.

I remember walking out of Episode II when I was 11 and saying to my friends “that kind of sucked”. Funny enough, i asked for/got it on DVD for Christmas (Along with Weezer’s Maladroit, but that has nothing to do with the story) so it’s probably the one I’ve seen the most in my life
